6-foot-2, 215-pound, big, wide, thick athletic frame. The hands and lower half have strength to them. The top tool is the ability to swing the bat, swing is easy and smooth. A right-handed hitter, hits with an even stance, gets back to even with stride foot, uses a toe tap for timing. The swing is down to level to up, barrel stays in the zone a long time, shoots the baseball to both gaps, has above average power for his age. The tee exit was 83 mph, with much more in there. Speed and quickness, need to improve, but swing and approach is advanced. Defensively, at first base gets off the bag well, hands are soft and fields out front and work with little effort. The feet are good around the bag, clean and work properly. The arm action works out of a ¾ to lower slot, arm was clocked at 70 mph, had good touch on throws across the diamond. Off the mound, the fastball was clocked at 73-75 mph, with sinking action to the arm side. The delivery is slow tempo, gets to a good gather, has a small pause at the height of his leg kick. Threw a good amount of strikes, gets squared up on release and had extension out front on release. The breaking ball had a bigger break, more horizontal action to it. A sinker slider guy, look for velocity to climb. Projects more as a hiter for me, strength and overall conditioning are a must.
