Jack Kushman: C/OF, (2024) Southington, CT. 6-foot, 170-pound projectable athletic build. (63.7 mph bat speed average). (19.5 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced crouched stance with a rhythmic load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is explosive, exhibits a loose swing plane and high finish. Was able to create loud contact and found multiple barrels. Aggressive approach. Behind the plate, his best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 74 mph; has a clean fluid transfer, next level hands, and smooth consistent feet. showed his ability to throw runners out with an efficient pop time of 1.99-2.07. Athletic setup with tons of flexibility. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a short quick arm action with athletic slot. Clocked a time of 7.44 in the 60-yard dash.
6-foot, 157-pound, lean athletic frame, with room for added weight gains. A right-handed hitter, starts in a taller stance, feet are even, are loose set above the shoulders. The lower half is under control, small leg kick, gaining ground. The swing is level to up, loose through the zone, approach is from gap to gap, had an exit velocity of 85 mph, took a solid round of batting practice, collected a hit in game play. Defensively, the setup is athletic, wider and slightly side saddled. The arm action is super clean and quick, minimal effort uses, the arm was clocked at 72 mph, and had a pop time of 2.09-2.12. Good looking younger player, needs to add strength defensively is advanced.

Kushman begins in a balanced, athletic stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. A short stride initiates a simple, flat swing that stays on plane through his finish. During his rounds, Kushman showed good hands and a gap to gap approach. Behind the plate, Kushman’s throw downs to second topped out at 71 mph with a pop time range of 2.13-2.41. His initial setup is calm. The feet are square, the chest is tall and the glove is relaxed. As he transitioned to throw, he showed he has a clean transfer, consistent, smooth feet, and sure hands. During the event, he also recorded a 60 time of 7.6.
