Joshua Trager: RHP/OF, (2025) The Frederick Gunn, CT. 6-foot, 180-pound. Solid on the mound, showed consistent arm speed, also used a high ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows some effort. Displays downhill shoulders with a consistent balance point. Shows slight running action. (Max spin 1877; Avg 1698). His 10/4 slider showed late action. (Max spin 1997; Avg 1960).
6-foot, 1655-pound, lean athletic frame with plenty of room for added weight gains. A right-handed hitter, starts in a lower crouch, longer controlled stride. The swing is level to up, finishing with a higher one hand finish. The approach is line drive more to pull side. The exit velocity was clocked at 86 mph, and ran 7.30 sixty-yard dash, showed longer strides. Defensively, approach from outfield was under control, arm action is long and loose, showing whip to it, clocked at 79 mph. Good carry to plate, all throws on target. Off the mound, arm action is super clean, loaded and strong on the back half, having inline direction, delivery works with minimal effort and repeats it. The fastball has arm side run, clocked at 83 mph, comes out of his real well. Mixed in a harder breaking ball at 72 mph, can put hitters away with it. Good looking arm.
