Lucas Asanovic: 3B/RHP, (2024) Joel Barlow, CT. 5-foot-8, 180-pound lean athletic build. Projectable and athletic in the box, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 91 mph. (72.5 mph bat speed average). (20.8 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced athletic stance then uses a small stride. Bat speed is developing, has an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Projectable and athletic in the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 88 mph; has athletic developing feet, soft sure hands, and a natural exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Showed consistent accuracy to the bag and a quick arm action. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.8. Projectable and athletic on the mound, used a consistent loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle while showing developing arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Has in line shoulder and consistent balance point. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Sat with his fastball at 83-84 mph; has control arm side around the zone and running sinking action. (Max spin 2630; Avg 2543). His curveball (66-67) showed glove side around the zone command and sweeping action. (Max spin 2697; Avg 2674). His changeup (74-75) had gradual fading action and arm side feel command. .
