Matthew Scalia: OF/SS, (2025) North Branford, CT. 6-foot-2, 180-pound athletic projectable build. Athletic and projectable in the box, Scalia had an exit velocity of 92 mph. (72.9 mph bat speed average). (20.3 mph hand speed average). Began in an athletic wide stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is developing, shows an uphill loose swing plane and high good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Athletic and projectable from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 83 mph; shows developing soft hands, a natural exchange, and athletic developing feet. Laterally, movements were developing athletically and fielded the ball out front. Using a loose arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the base from a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.23.
