Solid smooth during batting practice,Briggs displayed an exit velocity of 86 mph, Top 2 velocity of the day. (67.6 mph bat speed average). (20.6 mph hand speed average). Starts in an athletic wide stance with a controlled load, then uses a short toe tap stride. Had a simple rotational swing plane, above average bat speed and high level finish. Found some barrels with some loud contact. Pull side aggressive approach. Smooth capable in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 80 mph; has a natural exchange, rhythmic athletic feet, and soft hands. Fielded the ball deep with athletic movement laterally. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used an-over-the-top slot and a short loose arm action. (Max spin 1953; Avg 1843).
