6-foot-5, 220-pound, large, already filling out athletic frame. Well proportioned, showing above average strength. A right-handed hitting 1st baseman, top tool is ability to swing the bat and swing it with major power. At the plate, a wider setup, feet are even, loose, relaxed hands set slightly above the shoulders. Small pick and put down with stride foot, hands are back on foot strike. The swing is level to up, has natural lift/loft to the swing. Shows above average power to pull side, is advanced enough to go opposite. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 91 mph. Runs and moves well for a bigger player, ran a 7.47 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, solid target to throw to, moves well off the bag, feet are quick. Fields out front with flow, working low to the ground, with clean drop steps starting the double play. The arm is clean and short working from a 3/4 slot, clocked at 78 mph. Off the mound, worked a two pitch mix, from a lower slot, working from set position, has some forward lean. The fastball touched 81 mph, with arm side run and sink. The slider is more of a sweeper, clocked at 70-75 mph. The delivery needs to be smoothed out, has arm speed, could pitch more downhill, making it extremely hard to square up. Like him a ton at the plate, big potential to hit with power.
