Efficient footwork, exchange, and release, coupled with 77-mph arm strength from the crouch, led to pop times in the 1.81-1.97 range. The right-handed hitter sports a solid 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame with strength in his forearms. Starts from a slightly open stance and takes a controlled, waist-high leg lift to square. Front hip floats forward some with stride, but he stays behind his front side and can drive a gap (90-mph exit velocity).
