10/15/17- Florida State recruit. There is a lot of present athleticism with Mathis. He is very twitchy and an above average to plus runner. Offensively, he has a wide base, but does not clear his back side well leading to cutting himself off in the zone. His hands work well and has a lot of present tool with an extremely high ceiling. The tools will just need to continue to improve and become functional in game against high level arms.
