Florida Gulf Coast Commit, 6-foot-5, 215-pound strong athletic frame. Solid in the box, Cole's best exit velocity was 94 mph. Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed was electric, had a short swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Athletic throwing from the outfield, he displayed power in his arm with throws up to 92 mph;has soft hands, rhythmic feet, and a quick clean exchange. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball to the side. Had a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. Established speed as one of his strengths with an efficient 60 time of 6.94.
Positional Profile: SS/3B - Uncommitted
Body: 6-foot-4, 200-pounds. Strong, high waisted, projectable frame.
Defense: Fluid footwork, present range, soft hands, smooth transfer/release, athletic actions all around.
Arm: RH. INF - 90 mph. High 3/4 arm slot, long to short arm action.
Hit: RHH. Tall balanced setup, hands sit high by ear, leg kick, short stride. Fluid barrel actions, level bat path, hands stay inside, ability to turn on baseball, athletic finish, natural lift.
Power: 94 mph exit velocity. Projectable power, pull side gap approach.
Run: 7.06 runner in the 60.
06/05/19- Cole has a lean, tall frame that definitely passes the eye test. Cole showed that he can play as well. He first caught our attention with his athletic actions at third base. He showed soft hands and easy carry on his throws. At the plate, Cole showed an advanced approach. He is short and quick to the ball and shows fast hands through the zone.
