Clemson Commit, 6-foot-5, 205-pound athletic mature build. Athletic advanced at the plate, Wilkie was ranked 3rd with an exit velocity of 100 mph. (71.81 mph bat speed average). (23.55 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth compact load, then uses a short controlled stride. Bat speed was quick present, had a simple loose swing plane and high good extension on his finish. Barreled up lots of balls with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap line drive approach. Athletic confident showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 87 mph; showed consistent in control feet, a natural exchange, and soft sure hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Used athletic slot and a loose arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the base. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.22. Projectable solid on the mound, used a loose clean arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing above average arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows some effort. Has an athletic strong balance point and in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic recoil finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 83-86 mph. showed command around the zone. (Max spin 2182; Avg 2092). Had a 11/5 slider (73-77) that showed slight sweeping action and around the zone control. (Max spin 2001; Avg 2001).
