05/20/17- The 6-foot-4, 180-pound right handed pitcher has continued to improve as he logged important innings during the spring. The first thing you notice is his presence on the mound. He pitchers with confidence and it works extremely well for him. He stays over the rubber well, keeping his hips in line and works down the mound well. He has a loose high 3/4 arm action on a lanky frame. He attacked the zone with a fastball that ranged from 86-89 mph. He also featured a slider at 74-76 with a quality shape. He has a great frame with a lot of upside, with a clean delivery. Expect him to make another jump this summer and fall.
02/25/17 - Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-4, 175 pounds with a lean, long, projectable build. Still plenty of room to fill out. Throws of the ¾ arm slot with a fluid, repeatable delivery with a big leg kick and lands out in front. Fastball mostly sat 86-87 mph with life along with a 70-72 mph slider that was tight and showed depth. Threw the slider consistently for strikes and has a good feel for it. Did not allow a hit in his three innings pitched.
01/21/17- The 6-foot-4, 175-pound right handed pitcher has a great frame with long limbs and plenty of room to fill out and add strength. He showed a fluid delivery with a clean high ¾ arm action. Fastball showed late arm side life at 85-86 mph which he consistently used to attack hitters with down in the zone. He also showed the ability to spin a tight, sharp slider that ranged from 69-71 mph. Overall he shows a calm, confident demeanor on the mound, a feel for pitching, confidence with his pitches and projects to gain more velocity. Overall, a definite follow going forward.
8/13/16- High waisted 6-foot-1 180 pounder that displayed a fastball that ranged from 83-84 mph with a short, easy, arm action. The slider ranged from 67-69 mph with some tilt when he was extended. Athletic and projectable. Expect him to make a jump as he logs more innings and continues to become stronger.
