Positional Profile: RHP
Body: 6-foot-2, 165-pounds. Thin, high waisted frame.
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery, long front leg stride, lands slightly open, body works freely towards the plate. Works on an effective downhill plane when timed up correctly, staying on top of baseball giving it life.
Arm Action: RH. Low 3/4 arm slot, strong arm.
FB: T87, 84-87 mph. Arm side sink, competitively pounds zone in. Stays on top of the baseball when throwing to the glove side.
CB: 64-68 mph. 10/4 shape, over the plate for strikes, strikeout pitch.
KN: 67-69 mph. knuckles up in the zone, effective cut to glove side.
A 2021 grad, Schramm is 6-foot-1, 155 pounds with long arms and legs. He utilizes his length by activating his core and getting the rotation necessary to bring his arm around correctly and quickly. He stays on line to the plate and drives the back leg with a strong follow through and optimal extension. The fastball sat in the low 80s touching 82 mph, and he spotted it up well on both sides of the plate. He countered it with a 63-67 mph curveball that he could throw for a strike or keep it off the plate.
