Offensively: RHH. Upright, even base; uses a big leg kick for timing. average effort with compact barrel path to the baseball working uphill after contact; 14 degree bat angle into the zone via Blast Motion. Mascaro is able to produce 8.8 G’s of force with an on-plane efficiency of 75%. Lots of line drives to the gaps; average Trackman exit velocity of 84 MPH; peak exit velo was 90 MPH.
Defensively: Starts in a slightly crouched, athletic stance; sits back and lets the ball get to him, covers ground well to the glove side. smooth hands, clean transfer; medium arm swing with a 3/4 arm slot. INF - 76 MPH.
Pitching: Sets up on the first base side of the rubber, small side step into a rhythmic delivery, could finish out in front more. Loose arm, high 3/4 slot . FB: T 80 MPH, 77-80 MPH. Able to spot in the zone, shows 2-seam with late arm side run. CB: 67-68 MPH. Sharp 12-6 shape. Deceptive arm speed with good late fade.
5-foot-11, 140-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and uses a toe-tap stride to begin. Showcased a feel for the barrel while using all fields. Registered a bat exit velocity of 81 mph and ran a 7.90 60-yard dash. Displayed fundamentally sound defensive actions with developing 71 mph arm strength across the diamond. The righty also sat 78-79 from a 3/4 arm slot on the mound with a hook in back. Fastball showed heavy arm-side run and changeyp at 70-72 showed similar fade. Curveball at 67-69 showed 11/5 break while slider at 66-67 showed later, shorter break.
