Solid at the plate, Menendez was ranked 2nd with an exit velocity of 95 mph.Starts in a tall athletic stance with a tight rhythmic load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is electric, has a short swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Aggressive line drive approach. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 80 mph; had a natural developing exchange, sure hands, and average footwork. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a long arm action and a ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 8.3. Solid on the mound, showed quick arm speed with a ¾ arm angle and a long arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 81-82 mph; has control around the zone and hard action with heavy movement. Throws a tight curveball (68-69) that shows slurvey action and down in the zone control. He showed slight fading action and command around the zone on his sharp changeup (76-77). Throws a tight slider (70-71) that shows late sweeping action and down in the zone control.
