Body: 5-foot-8, 165-pounds. Medium athletic frame. Room to grow.
Defense: Quick first step in the infield.
Arm: RH. INF - 80 mph. 3/4 arm slot. Short arm action and gets rid of it quickly.
Hit: RHH. Starts tall with slightly bent knees. Quiet hands with a medium leg kick. Low effort line drive swing. Gap to gap approach with average bat speed. Let's the ball get deep and uses both sides of the field.
Power: 86 mph exit velocity.
Run: 6.95 runner in the 60.
10/05/18 - 5-foot-6, 135-pound switch-hitting middle infielder, moves with quick-twitch athleticism. Offensively, balanced setup, leg kick timing trigger, hands load back and drop. Barrel control approach, some looseness to swing. Defensively, fields position athletically.
4/1/17- Sowers hit from the right hand side, hits with a leg kick trigger with rhythm. He tends to load his hands into a low slot creating an uphill path. He showed a feel for the barrel and was able to hit several line drives into the outfield. From the outfield he came through the ball well and topped out at 69 mph.
