It was a highly efficient day on the hill in the morning matchup of day 2 for the young RHP as he was given an opportunity to get quality innings against good bats. He offered a 2 pitch mix, but that is all he needed to go 5IP of low stress baseball. The FB played well at 82-86 and had some slight ASR and generated weak contact throughout. The SL was a great go-to as it had a frisbee like movement away from RHH, causing for whiffs and weak contact alike. He was a bit scattered, but with maturity and experience, command will surely follow. At 6-foot-2 already, Vatterott has a great frame beneath him to set him up for 2-way success. At the dish, he did not record a hit, but had very loud contact each AB, but ended right at fielders.
