Cape Cod: Ehrhard hit .330 with 18 steals as a standout freshman for Oklahoma State in 2022, then battled a hamstring injury and perhaps returned to action prematurely as a sophomore, leading to a disappointing .239/.379/.348 campaign this spring. His summer got off to a brutal 0-for-25 start — but he hit .420 from June 30 to July 1, boosting his overall average to .297, quite a feat after falling into such a deep hole. At Oklahoma State this spring, Ehrhard really struggled against sliders, but he adjusted much better this summer, chasing less and hitting more of them in the zone. Out of a a level setup and a balanced crouch, Ehrhard uses a short stride and good hand-eye coordination, helping him make line drive contact from the left-field line to right-center, though he’s more pull-oriented. A 5-foot-11, 185-pound athlete, he has a strong lower half and should develop into more of a doubles hitter in time, but likely not much of a power threat. He is a plus runner with a strong arm and excellent instincts in center field, and he is a fairly obvious bounceback pick to click at OSU as a junior.
Athletic frame at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds with room for growth. Loose and short arm action with carry on throws across the infield. Soft hands with fluid and quick footwork on groundballs and plays through the ball. Balanced setup at the plate with smooth load and strong lower half. Level bat path and gap to gap hitter and pull side power and above average bat speed with 89 mph exit velo. As a RHP throws sidearm arm slot and has sink on the fastball which sits 80-84, slider 63-66 and changeup 70-71.
