Kansas State commit. Lean 6-1, 175-pound frame with room to add on. Didn’t have pinpoint command of the FB during his start at GDC and had to battle baserunners through the duration of his outing but the secondary pitches were as advertised. Athletic and quick movements on the bump, suggesting that with further added weight his velocity could jump even more. Shorter action with a H3Q slot, allows him to get good backspin behind his FB and stay on top of all his secondary pitches. FB sat 86-88 and touched 90, as mentioned before, didn’t have the most success with this pitch but when located well enough is a big weapon of his and will generate s/m at the top of the zone with high spin-rate numbers. Best pitch was his sharp CB at 76-77, often freezing RHH and falling right into the zone for strikes. Also showed a strong, hard SL at 79-82 and controlled pitch well for s/m. Dean’s athleticism will keep his ceiling high and shows good feel for the entirety of his arsenal.

Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 160 pounds with room for added strength. Dean has progressively made large jumps on the mound each time we see him. Athletic, quick arm. Did a nice job out of the bullpen, throwing three innings. Fastball sat 85-86, touching 87. Breaking ball showed sharp downer action at 70-74 with a max spin rate of 2530 rpm.
Underclass Games
6-foot-1, 160-pound right-handed two-way prospect, lean, athlete, some quick twitch muscle, plenty of room in frame for continued physical development, ran a 7.18. Offensively, open setup with athletic bend in his knees, hands load back smoothly with rhythm, leg kick timing trigger, finishes on back-side. Gap-to-gap type hitter, barrel works uphill through the zone as he elevates the ball, drove some pitches, 87 exit velocity off a tee. Defensively, long, loose arm, advanced arm speed, throws carry, 87 from the outfield. Moves well in the outfield while tracking, plays through the ball without breaking stride, clean footwork and transfers. On the mound arm works long and loose, moves continuously on the back-side, accelerates quickly to a ¾ slot, repeats. Drop and drive delivery, works on-line, lands square, finishes square to home. Fastball sat 82-83, topped out at 84, run and sink action. Slider, 71-72, sharp downer action, can throw whenever he wants, good feel for, swing and miss pitch.
6-foot, 150 pound two-way player with a projectable frame. Closed stance at the plate with a loose swing. Hovers front foot on load. Easy hands that have the ability to hit the ball the other way. Active lower-half. Fundamental skill set in the OF, active feet on approach and works towards target. Decent carry on throws; 80 mph from position. On the mound, shows a three-pitch-mix.
