Belmont commit. Holbrook very well could have just put together the best individual performance LakePoint has seen over the past calendar year. Starting Saturday off going 3-for-3 with 2 HR, 1B, a BB, and 4 RBIS. Then proceeding to follow up the monster game 1 performance with another electric showing in the nightcap. In their second game North Forsyth found themselves in a tie game in the bottom of the seventh with a chance to walk it off. Holbrook would answer the call and step up to the plate, delivering with a walk-off pull-side bomb for his third home-run on the day. Holbrook seemingly delivers hard contact every time he’s in the box whether seeing velocity or spin. Possessing premium bat speed with advanced barrel skills the physical, athletic 6-foot-1, 195-pound LHH generates a ton of strength from the ground up. Resulting in above-average raw power that consistently shows up in-game. Holbrook along with his formidable efforts at the plate helped lead the Raiders to an ultra-impressive sweep on the weekend. The senior will be a powering force as a stout bat at the top of the order, as well as being a top option on the mound throughout the rest of the spring for a Top 25 team in North Forsyth.

Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 195-pounds. The lefty bat has a real intriguing swing coming out of the ‘25 class. On day one of the 2023 Georgia State Games, he sent one over the RF wall for a big time homer. He keeps nice swing mechanics generating power off of a stiff front side. Shows nice timing with his hips and hands. He has nice hand separation in his load with real strong bat control through the zone ending with good extension after contact. Holbrook has an on-plane bat path creating major backspin at the point of contact.

Uncommitted. 6-foot-1 195-pounds. First 2 times trying to see Holbrooks this spring resulted in multiple walks, so I was finally able to see him swing the bat. He rattled off 3 hits and was a home run away from the cycle. The approach is pull side, and he gets good loft on the ball into the right center gap. He produces a ton of power, and the ball carries well if he gets a good swing on it. He has good barrel control with 2 strikes, and does a good job of getting to the low pitch. He is not going to get beat on the inside, no matter the velo. He is a mid 80’s lefty arm on the mound as well. Holbrook is a high follow in the ‘25 class headed into the summer.
3/15/23
6-foot-1 195-pounds. Got a chance to see Holbrook in his first innings on the mound this year. He has been batting 4 hole and playing CF for the Raiders all season. He has an athletic frame, and has gained physical strength since the summer. Fastball was 82-84 with some run and sink. He was not trying to over power hitters, he attacked the zone and forced weak contact. The arm works well, and he has a strong lower half of his delivery with good back leg drive. Stuck mostly with the FB with just getting on the mound for the first time this spring. Look for Holbrook to log more innings, and see an uptick in the FB by the end of the spring headed into the summer.
