Leimkuehler checks in at 6-foot 155-pounds and shows athletic actions in the outfield and at the plate. He posses a smooth left-handed stroke with good balance and tempo. During batting practice he put on a clinic, using the middle of the field for line drive after line drive. HIs mature singles approach really stood out and left little doubt about his bat to ball skills. He posted an 83 mph exit velocity with his effortless swing. Defensively Leimkuehler shows good actions and is a solid athlete, posting a respectable 6.92 60 time. He also shows a smooth arm stroke with some on-line carry, posting an 83 out field velocity. Leimkuehler also jumped on the mound and showed off smooth delivery actions and a arm action that works well from a ¾-slot. HIs fastball ranged up to 77 mph and sat in the 74-75 mph range. His get me over breaking ball flashed good shape at 68-69 from a low to ¾-slot, but may need more length from down there. His change-up also showed solid deception and tempo in his arm swing. Walked away impressed with Leimkuehler’s ability at the plate and his smooth actions. He profiles as a solid defender at a corner outfield spot. with above average bat to ball skills. Definite next level ability with added strength.
