Uncommitted. Athletic 5-foot-11, 155-pound two-way prospect. Tripled to lead off the game for Southern Squeeze on Friday night. Previously, he has flashed mid-to-upper-80s velocity on the mound.
5-foot-11,155-pounds. The righthander who has been up to 88 in the past worked mid 8s today topping at 86 a couple times. He had a whippy arm action that showed some looseness in the arm as well, he flashed a slider at 77-78 but mainly tried to pitch off the fastball. The slider was good enough to be used more but Gallant stuck with a heavy barrage of fastballs in the outing. Mechanically he changed timing at leg lift a couple times and tried to take a smooth slow methodical approach to firing him. Fastball command went at times but he found the zone enough for the SQZ.
