6-foot-4, 195-pound right-handed pitcher, long, athletic, projectable frame, lots of room to fill out. On the mound, arm works short and clean on the back-side, accelerates with quick arm speed to a high ¾ slot, repeats.Drop and drive delivery, works on-line, lands square, finishes square to home, at-times does not finish back side. Fastball sat 82-85, touched 86, some sink. Showed feel for curveball and changeup, threw both pitches for strikes. Curveball, 12/6 shape, 71-73. Changeup, fade and sink action,76-78.
Long legged, wiry frame. Showed a 3 pitch mix, and was feeling it early on. FB was 87 in the first, showed the CB at 71-73, could really spin it. Ended up settling in at 82-85. Faced a tough line-up and competed in the zone throughout his outing. Liked him out of the stretch, showed control with the slide-step. Really strong finish, loose arm. More to come for the young ‘22.
