Peach State Games - Howe is a compact strong kid at 5-foot-10 and 180-pounds. The first thing you notice about him is his hands, they are noticeably big and strong on contact, just like most good hitters. He shows an excellent straight away set-up and balance at the plate, with a short direct path. His elbow is cocked and his hands show rhythm. He had very good takes live and a displayed knowledge of his zone. In terms of hitters actions, Howe has the look and feel of a kid that is looking to do damage, but is going to make a pitcher come to him. On the defensive side of the ball, he also has good actions. He catches the ball with ease and shows good infield footwork. His feet will need to improve however, if he wants to play shortstop at the next level. They play a little heavy in the dirt right now for the shortstop spot. I see no reason he can't stay in the dirt at third or second-base, because he has obvious infield actions, just may lack the quickness of a true shortstop. The great thing for Howe is his bat looks to profile well at other infield spots, because the bat potential looks real.
