Uncommitted. Ponche displayed an impressive left-handed swing this past weekend. Standing 6-foot-2, he already generates significant power for his frame. He consistently showed advanced barrel control, producing loud contact nearly every time he squared the ball. His approach at the plate is both effective and comfortable—he shortens his swing with two strikes while still demonstrating the ability to attack early and generate high exit velocities. With a smooth, leveraged swing that consistently creates loft, particularly to the pull side, Ponche projects as a pure hitter with advanced maturity at the plate. He remains one of the top uncommitted bats in the state and is poised for a stellar senior season at West Forsyth.
