We have been wanting to get eyes on Carter since last season and we were finally able too as he provided a potent look at the all-around profile. Immense physicality in the box with big-time strength in the stout 6-foot-1, 200-pound frame. Looked the part in the box and really slows the game down as he is willing to take his walks. Came through with a frozen rope double to the pull-side late in the game as well. Stays well-connected at the plate and gets into his lower half extremely well as he explodes through the zone with real impact in the barrel. High-level defensive makeup behind the plate as well with tons of athleticism in the crouch and advanced blocking/receiving as well. Threw out 3 runners on the basepaths as well. This was a strong first look at Carter with tools to project both offensively and defensively, as he will be one to monitor throughout the Spring/Summer circuit with a chance to be a name to know come August 1st.
