New Orleans commit. Matured body at 6-foot-3, 225 pounds. Up and down delivery, utilizes body strength well. Gets decent extension on all pitches. Fastball showed heavy life, living 85-87, touching 89. More impressive outings we have seen from Rich. Curve ball had good shape at 1/7; 72 mph.
6-foot-3 225 pounds. The imposing physical presence did not have his best command on the day which led to a short outing. In the outing Rich showed why the University of New Orleans called his name however with an 84-88 mph heater that has life to it. He didn’t flash off speed during the outing.
6-foot-3, 225-pound two-way player stood out on both ends in the nightcap. At the plate, it’s an aggressive left-handed swing with loft, and the ball jumps off his bat. He drove a pitch deep to RCF off the bat at 97 mph. On the mound, he was 85-87, T88. He struggled with command today, but the arm works. He will be an interesting watch the rest of the week.
