Samford Commit. It was an electric outing from the senior RHP as he took the pearl in a massive region battle. Fredette deploys an effortless operation on the mound with an easy drive down the mound from strength in the lower half. All three of his pitches were in full-effect as he would go the distance and strike out 9 across 7.0 IP to earn a key win for the Eagles. Fastball sat 88-91 T92. Pairing nicely off the fastball was the changeup at 81-83 with diving action and arm-side fade. Holding an advanced feel for the changeup, Fredette showed the confidence to throw it in any count and R/R. Feel to manipulate the slider at 75-79. Competitor and fills up the zone with a real chance to go 7.0 IP day in and day out. Poised to lead the pitching staff throughout the playoffs.

High-octane showing from the Georgia Tech commit on Tuesday night. Fastball was jumping out of the hand for Fredette, grabbing 92 many times while living 89-91 over six quality innings. Barrel-missing carry, especially at the top of the zone that led to heavy swing-and-miss, 22 overall on the outing. Slider gets sharp horizontal action in the low-80s with the feel to land for strikes and whiffs alike. Showed a minimal look at the change up at 79-81 that creates good velo separation to freeze hitters. An athletic mover with a good feel for the zone and budding stuff, Fredette could be to make a move this summer.

Kennesaw State Commit. 5-foot-10, 160-pounds. Got the start in a big time pool play game Sunday and he did not disappoint. He was extremely fun to watch from the first pitch to the last pitch of his outing. I love the tempo and the explosiveness he shows while he is on the mound. Fredette has crazy spin rates on both pitches. He throws a lively fastball 89-91 and running it up to 92 mph, with a top spin rate of (2604). Then he spins in a plus wipeout slider at 76-78 mph with a top spin rate of (2950). What an outing to start the summer can’t wait to see how much he progresses throughout the summer.
