Hits from a wide, balanced setup with a reverse toe-tap stride, short hand load back, great balance. Uses his strong legs well to go get the ball, swing works smoothly and gains extension with long levers, good rhythm. Advanced feel for the barrel, with a power swing that works to all fields. Consistently finds the sweet spot of the barrel and gives the ball a ride, especially to the pull-side. On this day in particular, Franklin was locked in at the plate, blasting two home runs over the left field wall and a double against Grayson. Earlier in the day also launched two home runs against Archer. Earned Player of the Week honors by going 9-for-13 with five home runs, two triples, and 11 runs batted in.
Singled to center, doubled down left field line. Tracked pitches well, attacked early in the count, had a smooth, simple swing. Good contact hitter with room to add power.
