Baruela is Prep Baseball Hawaii's top 2027 catcher hailing from the Big Island via Waiakea High School and BIWBA. Baruela stands out on both sides of the ball with his bat arguably ahead of his defense. Baruela possesses advanced strength, bat speed and feel for hitting at such a young age and put on a show in wood BP in multiple Prep Baseball Hawaii events. Easy to project a ceiling of plus bat metrics as a potential middle-of-the-order hit/hit-for-power run producer. Defensively Baruela has quick feet, exchange and release with an accurate arm. Many DI's already know who Baruela is and may be able to see him up close and personal at 2025 Future Games. Strong DI recruit and potential August 1 phone call guy.
