6-00/185, naturally strong...+strength 2026 RHH RHP/3B who put up some impressive scores at Hilo Preseason ID...90.6 Trackman Exit Velo, 76.1 Blast Bat Speed & 2nd furthest HR at Hilo ID at 337 ft, safe to say bat is a value, impressive metrics & scores for age, chance for plus power/value offensively...arm is next best tool, 77 INF velo, likes to cut it loose & not afraid to throw, likely ends up with enough arm for 3B & RF...ran very well for size, 7.26 60 was 4th fastest time of Hilo ID, obviously points to how athletic he is.
Full length arm action, high 3/4 slot w/minimal effort...up to 83 on bump, around zone w/all FB's, chance to throw hard w/strikes...decent secondary, CB & CHG both show makings of solid out-pitches, threw both pitches for strikes, threw one CHG w/+fading action, could end up better of the two pitches especially if ends up throwing hard...very interesting as a RHP.
Quality showing on both sides at event...far from polished on both sides but athleticism, tools & upside makes Derego one to keep an eye on as a possible four-year talent.
