Long-levered, physical 6-foot-5, 220-pound two-way player. The right handed hitter sets up in a tall, closed stance before taking a short stride into a level line-drive bat path. Cuts off lower half at times. Generated decent backspin with pull pop and consistent contact. 93 mph exit velocity. Ran a 7.66 60-yard dash. At first base, displays sure hands and solid footwork around the ball, making 86 mph throws across the infield with carry and accuracy. On the mound, works from a quick rocker-step delivery with a slight pause at his balance point. Long, clean arm action with good extension down the mound, landing slightly closed. Fastball features arm-side run at 85-87 mph. 11/5 curveball with smaller shape and spin, 66-68 mph. Slider sat 73-74 mph with 10/4 break and average depth. Changeup thrown with good hand speed and fading action, 76-79 mph.
3/11/18- 6-foot-5, 220-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 8.03 runner. Closed stance, starts hands high, load into shoulder level position, line drive swing plane, lower half is restricted in swing, shows hardest contact to pull side of field, 85 mph exit velocity. Sure hands, funnels underneath body occasionally, solid footwork on double plays, big target at base, 75 mph arm across field. On mound; rocker step into high tuck and turn balance point, loses body control down mound, lands hard across body, clean compact arm action, upright release with minimal extension. Slight running life on fastball, occasionally underneath on release, mostly to arm-side of plate at 79-81 mph. 11/5 breaking ball is inconsistent with shape and control. Changeup is solid/avg. and is thrown for strikes.
