6-foot-4, 170-pound right-handed pitcher. #19 ranked player in Iowa 2020 class and South Dakota State commit. Tall thin frame, controlled athleticism with body control on mound, quicker arm, high ¾ slot, works with good direction to plate. Fastball was 85-87 mph with occasional slight cutting action to glove-side of plate. Solid velo on breaking ball; occasionally drops elbow creating loose spin and elevated in zone. Changeup is thrown with good arm speed, slightly lower slot, with above avg. late run and sink.
9/1/18- Tall lean athletic frame. Extremely easy effort on mound. Ball jumps out of hand with various run/sink and cut action. Fastball was 81-83 mph and keeps in bottom of zone well. Flashes solid breaking ball with 11/5 shape at 66-67 mph. Projects well on mound and should continue to add considerable velocity as he matures and begins to fill out. Strong Follow in IA 2020 class.
