5-foot-10, 175 pounds righty pitches form a short high arm action with some arm speed. Fastball sat 82-84, T-85 throughout his four innings of work. Threw his breaking ball at 75-78, flashing depth with tight spin. Able to throw the breaking ball for strikes and swing & miss. 4IP, 7H, 0BB, 7K
2/16/2019: Andrew Snider, RHP/C, Charlestown HS, 2020, 5 foot 10, 175 pounds, throws with a short action from a high slot. Fastball was 83-85 and flat with some arm quickness and effort. Curveball was a short 12/6 action with tight spin and sat 73-74. Changeup showed good sink and arm speed and sat 74-76. Throws 3 pitches for strikes and both off speed pitches have a chance. Offensively, Andrew hits from both sides with early separation and lands on his toe with a low barrel angle. Hands and barrel work flat through the zone. Right side is a little more of a downhill swing and less bat speed. Behind the plate, threw 75 mph from the crouch, and had pop times of 2.04-2.11 with solid footwork and arm action.
2/17/18: 5-foot-10, 160 pound right-handed pitcher has an athletic delivery with high effort. Undersized, quick twitch in the arm. Short arm swing into 3/4 slot. Fastball has some downhill plane at 81-82. Breaking ball showcased some inconsistent late depth at 73-74. Change-up is thrown with a stiff wrist at 74-76. Defensively, he has some lateral bounce with ability to play through the baseball. Above average hands. High hips. Throws had some accuracy at 81mph across. Hits with a long, level bat path in the box. Long hand load, slight leg kick. Average use of lower half. High exit velocity of 81.
