2019 INDIANA STATE GAMES: Physical 6-foot-1, 185 pound frame. Long high ¾ arm action with above average arm speed. Ran his fastball up to 86 twice, sitting 84-85 in his first inning of work, settled in at 82-84. Breaking ball started off at 67-70, with gradual shape; started throwing it harder at 74 which had better shape with more depth.
1/6/2019: Brandon Juarez, 3B, RHP, Evansville Christian HS, 2022, 6 foot 1, 185 pounds, physically mature for his age, hits from a slightly open stance and has bat speed using his barrel lift and good separation. That bat speed produced an exit velo of 84 mph. Defensively showed good actions and a good arm across the infield with a velocity of 83 mph. On the mound, Brandon was 78-83 with his fastball from a high ¾ slot and long arm action. Slowed his arm down a little on his 11/5 CB at 65-67. At this point his bat speed comes with less effort than his velocity on the mound, but both should be options for his future as a possible two-way guy.
