At the plate, starts in a level stance with his feet even; keeps his bat flat behind his head; wraps his hands behind his head during load. Uses a leg kick and good rotations in his swing to generate power; has an explosive upward swing plane and a high, two-handed finish; 87 mph exit velocity. Shows aggressive movements in OF; has quick feet; reads the ball well; gets to the ball efficiently. At 3B, has athletic movements in his feet; moves well laterally; shows raw glove work; makes accurate throws; 85 mph position velocity. Recorded a 60 time of 7.13.
2/16/2019: Cameron Crick, OF/3B, Greenwood HS, 2020, 5 foot 10, 167 pounds, showed good bat speed from the right side using a leg lift and good extension to finish. Also showed ability to get on plane with gap power with a 90 mph exit velo. Threw 88 mph from the outfield with good athletic outfield actions and a long outfield arm action. Cameron also ran a 7.22, and has interesting tools for a kid his size. His body has a chance to fill out and it will be interesting to see where his tools end up.
12.8.18: 5-foot-10, 167 pound OF/3B. Crick had an impressive round of BP showcasing above average bat speed. Level bat path, line drive approach, consistent loud contact. Bat stays in the zone. Solid defender in the outfield with fluid feet, average glove and a clean exchange. Loose, high 3/4 arm action, throws topped out at 86 mph. Ran a 7.22 60-yard dash.
