Showing quality hit-ability from the right-side, Shipp was T5 in peak distance amongst hitters at this event while showing an efficient stroke. He setup with an athletic, slightly hinged, slightly open stance as the hovering stride worked in place with quiet hands in the load. Turning the barrel tight and working behind the ball, Shipp matched plane effectively with impacts up to 97 mph as he drove the ball with authority to the big part. While the bat provides most of the value and holds hit/power projections, the other tools took a noticeable stride as he reached 87 mph from the outfield and turned in a 7.10 60-yard dash.

The hit tool is advanced here for the age with blossoming athleticism in the 6-foot, 180 pound frame. His 7.29 60-time is a nice trend compared to the winter - though the bat is ultimately what I like here. He coils into a strong launch position before turning an uphill barrel with solid average bat speed for the age and low-90s exits (T 92.5) in BP. The hit tool shined in the gameplay portion with a pair of hits there, something we've become familiar with as we've followed Shipp this spring and summer. Power is likely to come as strength/explosiveness is added.

Shipp is a solid right-handed hitting outfielder to follow in the 2028 class. It is a high-waisted, 5-foot-11, 175 pound frame with room for strength gains and some athleticism already present. His best trait now is his right-handed swing, turning the barrel with easy intent and balance with pull-side feel and exits reaching 93-plus. The arm is an above average tool for the age, as well, up to 84 from the outfield.
