9/25/24
’26 OF Dallas Downey (SB St. Joseph) put together the most consistent batting practice round of the day. A newcomer in our 2026 rankings update (#99), the athletic, 6-foot-0, 160 pound outfielder sprayed balls to both gaps while flashing pull-side pop. Setting up in a taller stance in the left-handed batters box, Downey creates some separation in the load before turning the barrel on a level path with above average bat speed. Defensively, the junior outfielder showed athletic movements playing downhill with confident hands. A fringy runner at 7.25, Downey will be a follow for our staff as we head into the fall.
