+ The top-ranked lefty in the class, LHP Davis Moore (Zionsville), led off the day with an awesome look. Lefties that can spin the baseball are at a premium, which is why I am so bullish on Davis. He executed three well-shaped pitches for strikes with a loose arm that gets to a 3/4 slot w deception and quick arm speed. He's a dynamic mover armed with an 82-84 fastball that gets big arm-side run and occasional carry from the lower slot. His slider gets true sweep with out-pitch upside spinning in the 22-2300 range at 70-73, and tunnels off the heater. The change tunnels, as well, with late fade at 73-75. Moore has a wiry, projectable, 6-foot, 160 pound frame that has a chance to pack on strength and elevate an already abv avg three-pitch mix.
