There is significant twitch from the 6-foot, 175-pounder that resulted in loud metrics across the board that stood out amongst the outfield crop. The feet and arm are advanced tools; 6.55 in the 60 and 90 mph from the OF. Offensively, the exits reached 99-plus as he set up in a rigid, balanced stance and made a quick load stride before delivering the barrel on a loose, level path. There were some timing inconsistencies stemming from the fast-paced load/stride, but when its synced there is significant twitch in the swing.
A huge winner amongst the recruitable talent at this event, positioning himself as a 2027 follow as he heads into his junior season. It is a wiry, athletic, 6-foot, 170-pound frame that features impactful twitch that led to his loud showing at this event. He began the day as the top runner in attendance, burning a 6.69 60-yard dash with an impressive 1.57 10-yard split. Davis then took to outfield evals, showing off a well-above average arm that reached 88 mph, and holds upside on the mound as well as a LHP. His batting practice showed flashes of big impacts and he had the top exit velocity of any player in attendance, peaking at 101.1 mph. He averaged impacts in the upper-80s with a simple, quick, rotational swing that showed above average or better Blast metrics in all categories (averaged 22+ hand speed, 72+ bat speed, 20g rotational acceleration). His overall progress is noteworthy and he will be a strong follow for our staff during the 2026 season.
Drake Davis is a 2027 LHP/OF with a wiry, athletic 6-foot, 160-pound frame and plenty of projection remaining. On the mound, Davis shows a loose, clean arm that works from a higher ¾ slot—borderline OTT—paired with a smooth, athletic delivery that includes some dynamic movement down the slope. His fastball sits 76–78 mph (T78) with up to 1971 rpm, and his 62–66 mph curveball spins well (T2377) with depth and feel, though it’ll benefit from added intent. Offensively, the right-handed hitter works from a balanced base with a short, athletic stroke and uphill path, flashing hand speed and an 83.6 mph average exit velocity (T90). He’s a 6.88 runner with an 84 mph arm from the outfield,
