Large frame body. Big legs and thick mature mid-section. Stocky look. Swing starts with a slight open base, with bent knees shoulder width apart. Hands handle barrel to start up by back right ear. Barrel, is positioned in a flat angle. Front foot rotates over to a strong front stride, has good separation with hands and barrel for his trigger and his launch to impact is firm. Has some good impact swings with barrel and finishes with a small lift out of stance and approach. Handles ball up in zone better than down in zone. Shows a line drive approach. Doty as a defender has good hands and smooth transition to throw baseball across diamond. ¾ arm slot when releasing ball. Throws are accurate and have depth. Corner position projection. Ran an 8.06 60-yard dash.

In the infield, his best throw was recorded at 75 mph across the field. Had smooth hands in the field and showed athletic actions. Transfer was quick and throws were accurate. During the event, he recorded a 60 time of 8.39.
