Lohman

Lohman boasts a projectable 6-foot-5, 200 pound frame. The former PBR Future Gamer saw an uptick in velocity this preseason sitting 88-90 at the Preseason Preview on March 8th. He works from a short, high 3/4 arm action with quick arm speed. He spins the breaking ball at 77-78, showing depth and 10/4 shape. The changeup is 82-84 with sink.

2/16/2019: Griffin Lohman, RHP/OF, Hamilton Southeastern HS, 6 foot 5, 185 pounds, stands tall to his balance point and throws from a high ¾ slot and a short arm action, particularly for a long armed guy. Fastball sat 85-87 will little effort and good down angle. Slider is tight and short and sat 74-77. Changeup had some arm side life and sat 80-81. Griffin is interesting because of his size and arm speed. If and when his body coordinates his stuff will only get better and the only question will be if he can command his stuff.

6/12/18: High upside projectable 2020 RHP out of Hamilton Southeastern. 6’5 long and lanky athletic frame. Pitches from high ¾ arm slot, good tempo to the plate. Arm actions is quick and easy, mechanics are simple and clean as well. Tended to finish upright at times and not finish through pitches. When he did finish through pitches he created extension and life on pitches. FB sat 83-84 T85 with some run at times. Showed a late breaking CB at 69-71 for strikes that looks to be a future out pitch. Good long term projection for this 2020
