Tislow's first in-person impression to our staff was as about as good as it gets, leaving this event as a clear winner and positioning himself as a must-follow southpaw for 2026. There is easy projection to the 6-foot-1, 160-pound athletic frame that leaves ample room for future strength. Gradually building pace within the delivery, Tislow is able to land with impressive hip-to-shoulder separation to help him get to a mid-80s fastball with a lower perceived effort level. The shorter takeaway couples with an in-line shoulder plane, and there is clear deception in the way the front-side works that I believe will allow the FB to jump on hitters. The heater worked up to 86 mph, sitting more 83-85, but I left most excited about his upper-70s change. The CH plays with late tumble as it works off the fastball, and he was also able to shape a short, 12/6 downer CB in the mid-70s. He extends well to play the FB up a touch, while flashing carry properties that create an exciting north-and-south pitch mix profile. The open toe at land will be monitored closely, generally indicative of inconsistent control, but he was able to at least control all pitches in this bullpen look.
