2017 SCOUT BLOG:  Strong 6-foot-1 195 pounds. Uncommitted backstop with a quick and clean exchange behind the plate. Pop times ranged from 1.95-2.08 between innings and in-game action. Hands can get a bit stiff, but has good understanding of framing technique. At the plate starts athletic and slightly open. Sound load and short stride. Backside over rotated at times and did not get through at other times. Big uphill swing with above average bat speed. Gap-gap power type with a bit more ceiling possible. Leader on the field.

2/19/17: Strong frame at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds. Offensively, hits from a slightly open, wide setup.  Stride is short, over rotation with the lower half. Above average bat speed, uphill swing plane.  Produced gap to gap type power during his BP.  Registered a high exit velocity of 89 mph.  Defensively, pop times ranged between 2.00-2.07, throws topped out at 79 mph, quick release.  Long, low transfer. Shows average hands while receiving, needs to continue to develop flexibility behind the plate. Raw defensive tools. 

7/27/16: The 6 foot 1 175 pound catcher showcased a strong arm with fluid footwork.  Transfer is clean and throws were accurate.  Pop times ranged from 1.97-2.03.  Offensively, he hits from a slightly open setup with above average bat speed.  Produced power to the pull side.  Swing path is long.  Tarron ran a 4.78 H-1^st.
