+ Frame: Projectable, 6-foot-3, 180 pounder.
+ Delivery/Arm Action: Raw, linear operation lacks repeatability. Really gets down the mound, in-line mostly, lands square. Loose, full-circle arm action w big FB arm speed. Funky slot works from low 3/4 to 3/4.
+ Stuff: Power sinker traits to 89-91 FB that touched 92. Comes out the hand w life averaged 16" arm-side with 10" vert & 2011 avg. spin. Showed fringe average control for the FB. 75-76 rolling slider & 76-80 change are in development stages, arm speed slows.
+ Summation: Bartle established his presence in my first look on him w the 2nd best fastball at the event. It is a raw, natural operation, but the arm really works and the fastball really comes out. There is room for growth in the frame that likely plays the velos even higher. The ceiling is huge here as he polishes, & this is a super intriguing arm in total. The secondaries and overall control need refined, but if they do - & strength is added - this could really come together.
