Throughout his performance Ripp showed the ability to control 3 pitches from a high three quarter release: FB 82-84 mph and topping at 85 mph, late run, changeup at 76-77 mph, thrown at fastball arm speed, arm side run and curveball at 68-71 mph, showed the ability to be sharp with 11-to-5 action. Ripp’s athletic frame and ability to consistently throw downhill make him a prospect to keep an eye out for.

8/2/16 - Ripp is a 5-foot-8 135-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  Ripp sat 75-79 mph with fastball, high three quarters arm slot, athletic on the mound, compact delivery, repeatable delivery, throws strikes, showed a cutter at 78 mph in the zone, 12-to-6 curveball 63-66 mph, pitched to contact with one strike out, one walk, faced seven hitters.
