5/31/16 - Tullis is a 5-foot-11 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2018 class. He ran a 7.03 60 and 4.27 home-to-first, one of the top among RHH. He posted an 81 mph exit velo. At the plate, open stance, soft inline stride, quick hands, swing produced line drives to the pull side, efficient movements. In the outfield, over the top release, arm works, 80 mph positional velo, fluid footwork, clean exchanges, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Tullis touched 79 mph with his fastball, working 74-79 mph, late run, curveball at 60-66 mph, 11-to-5 shape, late action, change up at 61 mph, long and lean frame with loose arm action, projectable velo increase, high three quarters release, smooth rhythm, simple and repeatable delivery.
10/19/14 - Tullis is an athletic 5-foot-9, 140-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher. Balanced set-up at the plate, open stance, inline stride, smooth hand load, short bat path, lower half in sync, aggressive swing, maintains balance, finishes with extension, worked middle of the field, 76 mph exit velocity. Sound approach, needs time, size and strength. Ran a 7.59 60-yard dash and 4.62 home-to-first. Walked and stole a base in game action. In the outfield showed high three-quarters arm action, arm works, 79 mph throwing velocity. Easy, simple delivery on the mound. Vertical knee lift, tall balance point, strides slightly across body, natural three-quarters arm action, athletic finish. Fastball with early movement, 70-73 mph. Curveball 57-68 mph. Faced 12 batters in the game 25/43 strikes, three hits, three strikeouts, no walks.
