A top-10 prospect in Kansas’ 2025 class and 2022 Futures Games participant Brad Janes (DeSoto, 2025; Nebraska commit) continues to show advanced stuff on the mound. The righty was up to 88-89 mph with natural run with his fastball from multiple arm slots; dropping down on occasion. Off that, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound junior spun a slider that was 74-75 mph with -12+ inches of horizontal movement and a curveball at 76-78 mph with -10+ inches of vertical break. Additionally, Janes flashed feel for the zone with a low spin change up as well.
