6/20/17 - Sphar is a 5-foot-8 165-pound switch-hitting shortstop in Kansas’ 2020 class.  He ran a 7.65 60 and 4.97 home to first.  He has a 74 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced stance, no wasted movement, simple and compact swing, body stays under control during swing, swing produced mostly middle of the field line drives during hitting evaluations.  On the infield, 71 mph positional velo, loose three quarters release, quick catch and throw, smooth actions, mostly accurate throws, smooth footwork with quick exchange. On the mound, Sphar has a controlled tempo in delivery, over the top release, create in line direction, accelerates down the mound, fastball 70-72 mph, curveball at 56-60 mph, 11-to-5 shape, change up at 64-67 mph, some arm side release, high number of strikes, breaking ball produced some swing and miss.

1/28/17 - Sphar is a 5-foot-7 160-pound right-handed hitting catcher and third baseman and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2020 class.  He ran a 7.75 laser timed 60 and has an exit velo of 80 mph. At the plate, switch hitter with athletic frame, swing produced line drives to middle/oppo part of field on the right side, no wasted movement in load with small rocking motion to load on both side, short inline stride, more middle to pull side contact on left side.  Behind the plate, 2.39 to 2.45 pop times, 58 mph positional velo, clean exchange with over the top release, most throws close to bag. On the infield, 66 mph positional velo, hands in sync with footwork, plays through the catch with quick exchange, loose and easy high three quarters arm action, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Sphar has an over the top release, in line stride and throws with regular effort, conventional delivery, fastball at 73-76 mph, 12-to-6 action on breaking ball, down in the zone, 62-64 mph, change up at 62-66 mph, some with sink.

10/23/16 - Sphar is a 5-foot-7 160-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Kansas’ 2020 class.  He ran a 4.75 home-to-first and a 7.51 60.  He has an exit velo of 82 mph. At the plate, balanced set up, short in line stride with smooth rhythm, short to contact, hands work inside the ball, middle to opposite field approach, repeats swing, simple and short to the ball.  On the infield, high three-quarters release, loose arm action, quick catch and throw, feet in sync with hands, 73 mph positional velo, mostly accurate throws
