6/27/17 - Richardson is a 5-foot-9 145-pound right-handed hitting catcher and middle infielder in Kansas’ 2018 class. He ran a 7.46 laser timed 60 and a 4.71 home-to-first. Richardson’s exit velo was 81 mph, which is an improvement from last year’s event. During batting practice, Richardson displayed pop to all fields with a smooth stroke, a minimal load, loose/quiet hands that are quick to the baseball. Defensively behind the plate Richardson’s pop times were recorded between 1.99 and 2.04 seconds, 73 mph positional velocity, quick transfers, fluid footwork and very accurate throws. On the infield, he displayed solid footwork, smooth actions, a positional velocity of 78 mph with very accurate throws.

10/30/16 - Richardson is a 5-foot-9 155-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.57 60 and a 4.41 home-to-first.  He has a 75 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced stance, minimal stride with smooth load, level through the zone, gap-to-gap approach.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.11 and 2.21-seconds, 73 mph positional velo, one of the top catchers velos for the event, loose over the top arm slot, compact set up, quick exchange, works in sync with feet, fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws.

7/19/16 - Richardson is a 5-foot-9 140-pound right-handed hitting catcher and second baseman in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.90 60 and 4.53 home-to-first.  He has an exit velo of 74 mph.  At the plate, starts in a wide stance, minimal load, quiet hands, swing produced mostly middle of the field line drives, body stays under control, loose hands.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.08 and 2.19 seconds, 72 mph positional velo, short over the top release, quick exchange, plays through the catch, fluid footwork working with transfer, mostly accurate throws. On the infield, 71 mph positional velo, over the top release, quick catch and throw, accurate throws, quick the ball, soft hands, plays through the catch.
